Samsung halts the Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 lineup once again

Samsung has sent out invites for the launch of its Galaxy J6 in India on 21 May.

It will be interesting to see if Samsung launches only the Galaxy J6 at the event or other Galaxy A and J series smartphones as well.

The Samsung #GalaxyJ6 is coming soon with state-of-the-art design and features that will make your life truly infinite. Samsung Mobile India has tweeted out a video of the upcoming launch. "It's coming to take you #ToInfinityAndMore". The Infinity Display on the Galaxy J6 also seems to have a 2.5D curved glass atop, which shouldn't be surprising to you. While Galaxy A-series smartphones with Infinity Displays are already on sale, the Galaxy J6 will be Samsung's first budget smartphone to feature a "bezel-less" display. Based on the photo shared, the Galaxy J6 will not have any side bezels, though it will continue to have the top and bottom bezel. The phone will likely whip with Android Oreo software and because Samsung has been pushing its Samsung Mall AI-based smart shopping service on nearly all its budget phones, chances are it may do the same with the Galaxy J6 as well.

If rumours are anything to be believed, the Galaxy J6 will feature a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 720x1480 pixels, which is surprising since even budget devices at this age offer a better display. It will also likely to be released with 32GB and 64GB storage options.

Under the hood, the Galaxy J6 will be integrated with Exynos 7870 processor, 2GB/3GB/4GB including 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage.

On the camera front, the device is enabled with a 13-megapixel sensor at the back followed by an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper.

The J6 will come with a 3000 mAh battery and is likely to include an S Bike Mode and an Ultra Data Savings feature.
