Roseanne Barr turns on her co-stars

With news of ABC's decision to cancel the reboot of Roseanne after Roseanne Barr's racist tweet about former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett, Barr took to Twitter to apologize to the employees of the show who were effectively made jobless.

As most of the American public knows by now, the Barr tweet in question targeted Jarrett and said she appeared to be a cross between the "Muslim Brotherhood and 'Planet of the Apes'". "One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER be taken from me".

"ABC lost maybe $1 billion from this; this show was grinding out money hand over fist and they lost it all because somebody didn't say, 'Get that phone out of her hand, '" Arnold tells THR.

Yet what he most wishes is that Barr had just apologized and left things alone.

And after blaming the sleep medication for the Twitter rant, Barr also turned to a surprising target - her "Roseanne" team.

The remaining cast has been mostly silent since releasing initial statements blasting Barr for her offensive tweets. But few if any shows with a national audience as large as "Roseanne" had have been so abruptly canceled. Barr later apologized and said she would stop posting on Twitter. Though Barr quickly apologized for a joke that "was in bad taste", ABC released a terse statement from entertainment president Channing Dungey, which said: "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have chose to cancel her show". That led the drug maker Sanofi to say on social media that "racism is not a known side effect" of their product.

One post she retweeted read: 'BREAKING: According to sources ABC President Channing Dungey had a long conversation via phone with former First Lady Michelle Obama before deciding to cancel the Roseanne show. "Roseanne" the show promoted tolerance that was absent in her racist and bigoted tweets. Sara Gilbert, who starred in the original and later starred and executive produced the revival, said Roseanne's views don't represent the cast and crew. And not because Barr lost her show - her politics are not that different from his - but because he's thinks that criticism of him is worse than what Barr wrote about Jarrett. She also compared the response to President Donald Trump's experiences. Joy Behar, Joy Reid and Jimmy Kimmel make racist comments, constantly attack this administration for their beliefs in god and yet they still have a platform with no recourse.
