Warriors take 3-0 lead in NBA finals

The Cavaliers are in the danger zone, and another loss in Wednesday's Game 3 of the NBA Finals will nearly assuredly spell their doom.

Golden State rallied to top Cleveland 110-102 on Wednesday night to take a 3-0 lead in the finals, with a chance to clinch their second straight championship Friday when this series resumes. "Just because we're going home doesn't mean we can relax. And if we can do that, guys can look in the mirror and live with themselves". It's a very tall task.

Needing to produce not just a great game, but an all-time great game, every single night is a standard not even James can fairly live up to. "I'm not suprised. Typical of him". It is a hell of a luxury to have Durant on a team that had already won a title one year and 73 games the next. Durant scored 10 points in the third quarter. That's such a huge thing for us because you kind of speak things into existence. "I've always been the one guy who's the butt of the jokes, or that one guy who does something insane and everybody's got to look at or whatever the case may be". Guys will be able to slip to the basket and we'll be able to cover for one another.

"There is just a sense that we're all on the same team and nobody cares about whose team it is and all that stuff", Warriors Coach Steve Kerr said Tuesday. We're locked into doing that, and we know we can. "That wasn't the same shot", James said.

"Bringing physicality has always been a point of emphasis for our ballclub", James said.

The clip shows the Cavaliers in the time between J.R. Smith's baffling blunder at the end of regulation and the start of overtime, depicting the team's bench as heartbroken and stunned as they realize their opportunity to steal Game 1 had likely slipped away. Three of the Cavs' wins over them in this arena have been by more than 30 points and in only one of them was the margin of victory less than nine.

Kevin Durant torched the Cavaliers with a playoff-career high 43 points as the Warriors overcame a 13-point, first-half deficit to close in on their third National Basketball Association title in four seasons. Golden State played like a team that had been properly spooked into focusing on the task at hand in its Game 1 escape. "We still have to have that enthusiasm, trust and belief that we can get this thing done". Game three is on Thursday in Cleveland. So we're used to that. "I'm sure whoever wins this series won't be going", Durant said.

"When they make you pay, it's a 3-0 or 6-0 or 9-0 run, and it comes in bunches. And we have to be prepared for that".

LeBron James is a once in a generation type player that has the ability to make mediocre teams into championship caliber teams.

"I don't like the way I feel, the mood I'm in right now", James said. "And you should never want to relax". There was an awkward moment at the start of Lue's pregame news conference when he was asked by a foreign reporter who he expected to be the key player in Game 3. "I finally got Game 1 out of my head". "He's one of the best one-on-one players in our league". He told me he's feeling better. "I'm not suprised. Typical of him". I don't want to take that for granted; don't get me wrong. Winning tomorrow is a step forward, but then going out with Game 4 also.
