Google Pixel 3 XL

Google Pixel 3 XL

Pixel 3 leaks are abundant these days, and a few seemingly trustworthy ones have give us a glimpse into Google's vision of the flawless Android smartphone.

As per the images leaked on XDA forums, of the alleged Pixel 3 XL, the device will feature a notch that will house a dual front camera setup.

Its bootloader indicates the device could sport 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There's a slight chin at the bottom for the front facing stereo speakers as well. It should be noted that on the Google Pixel 2 XL, the SIM card tray was placed on the left-hand side of the smartphone. They photos reveal a completely overhauled design with an all-glass back as opposed to aluminum like Google's first- and second-generation Pixel phones. This means no monochrome, optical zoom, or wide angle shot options for the Pixel 3, but that hasn't stopped Google phones from being some of the best snappers in the past. The device sports a glass back, which may allude to wireless charging support. Since acquiring HTC engineers involved in the making of the Pixel 2 as well as intellectual property rights from HTC, it seems like Google has what they need to continue implementing the Pixel 2's squeeze feature in future smartphones.

What do you think, is this a real prototype of the Pixel 3 XL? The company will likely the ditch in-display fingerprint sensor and go with a physical rear-mounted fingerprint button.

Perhaps what's most interesting about the Pixel 3 leaks and renders that we've seen so far is how similar the handset looks to the Pixel 2. This way, the display controller component can be hidden behind the screen itself, rather than beneath it like most phones.

The images (above), which come courtesy of XDA Developers member meraz9000, show that Google's large-screened Android P flagship will follow the notch trend, with a chunky iPhone X-style cutout sat at the top of its display. Even among Android vendors, Google is nowhere near the top-selling phone brand despite the fact that its Pixel branded smartphones offer huge advantages over the competition.

As for specs, the Pixel 3 XL is expected to feature about the same specs and performance as every other Android flagship in 2018. It could make debut in early 2019 with Snapdragon 710 processor.
