"My family and a few of my friends are West Ham fans so everyone's buzzing".

Wilshere joins after leaving Arsenal on a free transfer following 17 years at all levels with the club, with West Ham beating off competition from Fenerbache for his signature.

"It's well known that I come from a family of Hammers and it's a special moment to sign for the club I used to go and watch as a boy".

Wilshere said he did not have to think twice when he learned of Pellegrini's interest which made him join the east Londoners. "The manager [convinced me],..."

Leicester City and West Ham United are continuing to track Lazio defender Jordan Lukaku.

Anderson will join new signing Andriy Yarmolenko at West Ham this summer as the club make a concerted effort to take the club forward after a tough spell.

The head coach told the press: "Jack is a player with excellent technical ability, combined with great energy and commitment, and has proven his quality both in the Premier League and at global level".

Wilshere has 34 England caps and has scored two goals for his country, both against Slovenia in qualification for Euro 2016.

West Ham have also been strongly linked with Borussia Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko, with the Ukraine worldwide reportedly travelling to Switzerland to undergo a medical after a fee was agreed between the clubs.
