Unai Emery sends message to Arsenal supporters about Mesut Ozil

"I´m looking at every player and I think Mesut, he has here the respect of every player".

It also condemned "the treatment, threats and derogatory messages" against Ozil and asked the football community to stand united against "racism and intolerance".

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has finally made a comment about the decision made by his player and says that they are ready to support the German worldwide in this time where he has been hurt by his country which he says that he has given all up until now.

"I am German when we win, but I am an immigrant when we lose", Ozil wrote, adding: "Certain German newspapers are using my background and photo with President Erdogan as right-wing propaganda to further their political cause".

"We hope by the start of the season he will be fit and ready to perform".

"We are every player´s family and for him to work every day, to work well with his team-mates, is good for us". We know the football [world] around us is about opinion and critique, we have a mentality and quality to work away from this opinion.

"We are expecting good matches against Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid". Ozil is, however, in line to face PSG on Saturday.

Ozil has not commented about his decision since his arrival in Singapore on Monday with Arsenal. Emery has not held private talks with Ozil over his global situation, with the Spaniard taking the view that it is better to give the player "normality" rather than create an even bigger fuss.

"I prefer to give him normality in the team, he feels good with us".

"It´s something which is unfortunate for him but we will try to do everything so that he feels good, that he trains well so he feels good for the season, because he´s one of the key players". As a team that's all we can do.
