The Browns traded Corey Coleman, yet another terrible first-round pick

The team gave up a seventh-round pick in 2020 to acquire the former first rounder from the Cleveland Browns. Both Callaway and third-year wideout Rashard Higgins have looked quite impressive during training camp so far, which could have been one of the many reasons that the Browns made a decision to deal Coleman. The Browns selected the Baylor product with the No. 15 pick in the 2016 draft. During his first two injury-plagued years in the National Football League, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound wideout has totaled just 56 receptions (131 targets) for 718 yards and five touchdowns in 19 games (18 starts).

Hopefully a change of scenery will be just the ticket for this former Baylor star to kick-start his National Football League career.

Cleveland on Sunday traded Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills for a draft pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Philly got the better part of that trade, as they used their newly acquired pick to draft quarterback Carson Wentz. It'd be totally fine if the Browns truly felt that Corey Coleman wasn't going to develop into the star wideout.

His first two seasons saw him limited to only 19 games as he suffered a broken hand in back-to-back years to start his career.

The Bills lack proven depth at receiver behind starter Kelvin Benjamin. "This is low risk, and we'll see what happens".

For Coleman, it seemed as though he finally had a legitimate quarterback that could toss him the ball for the first time in his career, whether it was either Tyrod Taylor or Baker Mayfield. Buffalo traded up to select Josh Allen with the No. 7 pick in the draft and also signed former Bengals backup AJ McCarron in free agency.
