Henry Cavill’s cryptic post may be hinting at a ‘Wonder Woman’ cameo

This follows word he will not be reprising his role in the DC Universe, and a subsequent statement from Warner Bros on Wednesday that said it has "made no current decisions regarding any upcoming Superman films". Cavill posted a video on his Instagram set to the tune of "The Blue Danube", which featured him holding a Superman figurine throughout the course of the short video. Cavill first played Superman in 2013's Man of Steel. Let us know in the comment section below! On the heels of the original article from The Hollywood Reporter, Cavill posted to Instagram a video that was about as cryptic as his digitally removed mustache in Justice League was glaringly obvious. In a statement issued after the THR report, it said: "We have a great relationship and great respect for Henry Cavill that continues to remain unchanged".

Meanwhile, rumours also suggest Ben Affleck, who is now in rehab for alcohol abuse, will not return as Superman's DC Comics sidekick, Batman, in a stand-alone film, titled The Batman.

In the odd video, the "Man of Steel" actor slowly raises a Superman figurine.

Also, Ben Affleck, who starred as the Caped Crusader alongside Cavill in Batman v Superman, is too rumoured to be leaving his superhero role.

In it, the former Mad Men star revealed he's up for the role of Bruce Wayne, you know, depending on the script or story. Warner Bros.is moving along with their Supergirl film which will not feature Superman at all, while Aquaman sees a release later this year along with a sequel to Wonder Woman.

Meanwhile, the studio is also betting on the popularity of Harley Quinn, who was played by Australia's Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad, according to the trades press.

It's hoped WB and the actor come to a deal with Henry returning as Superman for the Shazam! cameo and a new Man of Steel 2 movie.

Oh well, at least Cavill's future as Geralt is confirmed.

However, while Jon might fit the traditional view of the superhero of choice, Michael might be what the studio is looking for as its new Superman, as Deadline reported Warner Bros.
