Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s private jet ‘struck by lightning’

Stepping out of a vehicle with Prince William, and alongside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Cambridge looked gorgeous in an Alexander McQueen dress, a Philip Treacy fascinator, and matching Jimmy Choo pumps.

They will then spend a few days in Fiji and Tonga, before concluding the trip with four days in New Zealand.

It is the couple's first official royal tour since getting married in May.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to rest today ahead of their royal tour officially starting tomorrow.

The Duke of Sussex will follow in his mother and father's footsteps when he touches down in Australia with his new bride for their first official tour together.

Knowing that Harry and Meghan would most likely look very cozy at the wedding, there's a good chance that William and Kate's private moment might have been orchestrated for the cameras, according to some critics.

(9NEWS) Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Sydney on a British Airways flight at 6.04am.

Kensington Palace announced that the trip would coincide with the Invictus Games, which is being held in Sydney from October 20-27. The sporting event founded by Harry in 2014 gives sick and injured military personnel and veterans the opportunity to compete in sports such as wheelchair basketball.

Sitting in the pews of St George's Chapel in Windsor for the ceremony, the couple were photographed holding hands, with Middleton even going as far as to keep her hand on her husband's thigh for a portion of the proceedings.

Kensington Palace said: "There is a long history of friendship between the Royal Family and Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, and their links with the United Kingdom are extensive".
