Kansas Lottery players, like players everywhere, are talking about Mega Millions and making sure they have their tickets for the next drawing.

The drawing is scheduled to happen at 10 p.m. Tuesday. Combined with the Powerball jackpot, which is now at $345 million, the jackpots have reached a total of $999 million. Mega Millions last saw a jackpot victor on July 24 when 11 California co-workers shared a cool $543 million - the largest prize ever won on a single Mega Millions ticket.

The Mega Millions jackpot is now worth an estimated $654 million, or $372 million in cash before taxes. The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. The largest, just $2 million more, was drawn in March 2012.

At $667 million, someone holding a lone winning ticket would have the option of taking a cash payout of $380 million, according to the game's website. A record $3.62 million jackpot was claimed July 29, 2017. Since the jackpot reset in July there have been 17.5 million winning tickets at all the prize levels, with 25 winners taking home prizes of $1 million or more.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The winning numbers for the Oct drawing were 27-28-32-41-69 and Mega Ball 12.
