Congratulations are in order for Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews who have just welcomesd their first child into the world - a bouncing baby boy!

Kensington Palace confirmed the birth of the boy in a short statement this morning from her sister Kate and brother-in-law Prince William.

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have welcomed their first child.

Catherine's younger sister gave birth in the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital - the same unit where Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were born.

"Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well", her rep told People.

Despite being nine months' pregnant at Princess Eugenie's wedding on Friday, Pippa looked elegant in a fitted green dress with matching hat.

She announced her pregnancy in June, breaking the news in her Waitrose magazine column.

"Kate and Pippa have had so much fun shopping online for baby clothes and accessories!" the insider added.

Middleton and Matthews have visited the Paddington-based hospital several times over the past few months, with the expectant mum's last visit being just last week.

Only yesterday too, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who as we all know have close connections with the Middleton family, shared their pregnancy news. He is the older brother of the former Made in Chelsea star, Spencer Matthews. "James and Pippa have had a baby boy".
