Obama stumps for senator who supports Trump’s wall

"He's not on the ticket".

President Donald Trump appears to be distancing himself from the fate of House Republican candidates two days before the midterm elections.

Excitement is abound south of the border as Americans get set to elect new members to the Republican-controlled House of Representatives and Senate on Tuesday. It is a competition for the soul of America - a referendum on Trump and the venomous political culture that many blame for gridlock in Congress and a recent spate of hate crimes and politically motivated attacks.

But Trump's support was coming from very different sources: not free market Republicans in wealthy Boston suburbs but less-educated voters in more rural areas.

Just after, a man allegedly inspired by Trump's anti-immigrant stance walked into a Pittsburgh synagogue and shot 11 worshippers dead.

"All we hear is that these people are animals", Malinowski said with a measure of disgust. He'd pulled into the parking lot minutes after the gunfire erupted, saw the police cars and shaken employees, and felt like the country's poisonous political climate had landed in his backyard.

Evans assured her she had his vote because of gun rights.

"He has diarrhea of the mouth and diarrhea of the brain".

Ms Persons said it's a question that the Democratic party will need to come to a position on. "I don't think the American public is going to put up with it".

"We're here to show our support", Hodgson said.

"We have seen repeated attempts to divide us with rhetoric created to make us angry and make us fearful", he said in Miami, Florida.

It's a message that has resonated across much of liberal, progressive, and moderate America that fears rewarding President Trump with continued majority in Congress in addition to the control of the executive and judiciary that he already wields will roll back the USA to an era of racism and discrimination that white conservatives often gloss over, when they are not being sentimental about it.

"I think President Trump has something like that in his back pocket".

There's a good reason Mr Trump wants his most loyal supporters heading out to vote.

Former presidents seldom are outspoken opponents of their successors; with the exception of Herbert Hoover, who was an outspoken critic of Franklin Roosevelt and his New Deal, they generally merely seethe in private.

The NBC News Data Analytics Lab, using voter file data from TargetSmart, found that 35,526,881 early votes were counted nationwide as of Monday.

"He's fighting, he's great", Trump said of DeWine, before turning his attention toward Cordray, who he called a "bad guy". The crowd responded with the chant, "Lock her up!"

"We had a session the next day with 75-100 people", he says regarding the initial story on his Topeka rally. "They didn't come trying to storm the border".

Many House Republicans initially welcomed President Donald Trump's talk about the migrant caravan and border security, hoping it would fire up the GOP base in some at-risk, Republican-held districts.

Democrat Tom O'Halleran will attempt to hold on to his seat in Congressional District 1, while Republican Wendy Rogers will move to unseat him.

"When it comes to his actions, I'm not a huge fan of his tweets", Panelo said.

"Whatever you can do to ensure victory tomorrow, get out and vote, get your family, get your friends, get everybody to get out and vote", he told the supporters on the line.

He said he's felt an extraordinary level of enthusiasm for this election among his fellow students.

The American midterm elections are winding to a frenzied, even frantic, ending and in every corner of the United States - from swing-state Pennsylvania to Southern bellwether Georgia to laid-back liberal California - the state of the country's politics is in flux.

By and large, however, Democratic candidates and party elders such as David Axelrod, the former top campaign aide to President Barack Obama, contend that sticking to "kitchen-table" issues is a better way to win over voters than being drawn into culture wars and the swirl of controversy that Trump regularly generates.
