Sarri plays down Chelsea interest in 'wonderful player' Higuain

Fekir is versatile and can play on all attacking positions.

However, Fekir continues to be linked with a move away from the club and with just over 18 months remaining on his contract, it appears that Lyon have made a decision to entertain receiving the highest-possible fee for the player.

The attacking midfielder was the subject of plenty of interest during the summer transfer window and he seemed to be on the verge of joining Liverpool for a £54m fee before the deal fell through at the final minute.

At 22 years of age and Germany's No. 1 choice up front, Werner will not come cheap for Liverpool, but the Merseyside club's hierarchy have shown in the last few seasons that they're ambitious and will bring in quality players regardless of their cost.

Nevertheless, the same report suggests Real Madrid would not be interested in signing the Frenchman.

Is Fekir a good option for Chelsea?

The Blues were handed another shock when they lost to Leicester City at home and now lie 11 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool. Fekir is blessed with a knack to score goals and help others score goals.

Things though have not improved very much as Sarri is still not sure as to who his first choice striker is - Alvaro Morata or Olivier Giroud. Madrid will instead try to complete a deal for River Plate midfielder Exequiel Palacios, who recently conquered the Copa Libertadores. However, it needs amends here and there. It seems like the top clubs in Europe are hoping to give their fans a great present in the new year as they are closing in, or linked to some exciting talents from across the world. Nevertheless, deals for the likes of Neymar and Mbappe are highly unlikely in the January transfer window.

Would you like to see Fekir at Real in the future? Chelsea could be a more suitable destination for the French midfielder.
