‘Stranger Things’ season 3 gets release date

It's followed by the date July 4, 1985, confirming the rumors that Stranger Things 3 will take place, at least in part, during the summer of 1985.

Season 3 of "Stranger Things" is set for a 4th of July release in 2019.

The timing must have intentional because the trailer takes place on New Years Eve in 1984, with a ball drop in NY and a creepy broadcast.

And one image can hint a lot about what's coming for the intrepid group. The past two seasons have followed Mike, Eleven, and the others during preceding falls and winters, so the new summer timeline will be a change of pace.

We also know Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Maya Hawke (daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman) and Jake Busey will join the cast and Hawkins' shopping centre will play a pivotal role in the story.

"Stranger Things 3" are the last words seen in the minute-long clip.

Netflix is making sure Stranger Things fans start 2019 with some good news. It seemed likely that the release date would come soon after. Stranger Things creator The Duffer Brothers and show's executive producer Shawn Levy stated earlier that there is a good chance that their show will have more than four seasons. Back in December 2018, Netflix has already released a teaser video that featured all the titles of the episode for the upcoming season.
