Apple iPhone XI to come with three cameras on back

The pictures show a triple camera setup - a first for the iPhone lineup - in a square on the back of the phone.

It's as if they took the Huawei Mate 20 Pro's camera module and then shifted some sensors around so that it looks different.

Apple may be adding a third camera to the iPhone, and this it how it might look.

However, we're still at least nine months away from Apple's annual iPhone reveal, so take these images with a pinch of salt. There's also an LED flash above the side camera.

Similar like previous year, Apple is expected to release three iPhone models which include a cheaper variant to succeed the iPhone XR. There's just too much happening in that little space and doesn't match with Jony Ive's ideas.

All that camera technology plastered on the back of a sleek, Apple iPhone leads to a super-sized camera bump that we feel will split opinion.

OnLeaks claims that the 2019 iPhones are still in the engineering validation testing (EVT) stage, and there could be changes to the design since the phones will not be released until September 2019. In fact, a recent report by Bloomberg suggested that Apple is looking to adopt long-distance 3D TOF technology in its upcoming iPhones. Apple's likely to launch three variants of the iPhone in 2019: one low-end model and two high-end models. Digit speculates that the third lens will be for a 3D time-of-flight camera, the sort of thing that could give you 3D scans of objects. That said, it remains to be seen if the iPhone XR - which reportedly isn't selling as briskly as Apple anticipated - will prompt Apple to adjust its iPhone naming or pricing scheme.

Coming back to the leaked render of the iPhone XI, the image shows the same black glass back with Apple's shiny logo at the center and the word "iPhone" written at the bottom. Tipster OnLeaks and Digit India published a bunch of renders yesterday of what might be the iPhone XI, which you can see above and below.
