Chelsea Closing In On Gonzalo Higuain

Chelsea Closing In On Gonzalo Higuain

The forward's agent is in London to finalize a move.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is a firm fan of Higuain and was keen to take him to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but the Argentine ultimately linked up with AC Milan on loan from Juventus.

Chelsea's hopes of signing Juventus's on-loan striker Gonzalo Higuain could be scuppered by a row between manager Maurizio Sarri and director Marina Granovskaia.

Higuain joined Milan on a season-long loan from Juventus in July with an option to make the deal permanent, but he has struggled to settle at the seven-time European champion, scoring eight goals in all competitions.

Higuain scored 38 goals across all competitions during his one season under Sarri at Napoli and is a ideal fit for the manager's attacking style of football.

Stone, though, thinks Bournemouth's £50m valuation of Wilson is fair considering the homegrown quota Premier League clubs have to meet.

Giroud has only started six of Chelsea's 21 Premier League games this season, with Alvaro Morata leading the line for the Blues in 11 matches, but with the Spaniard likely to be out injured and potentially leaving the Bridge in the coming months after a torrid campaign then it's time for Sarri to put his faith in Giroud.

For now, Gonzalo Higuain's future remains up in the air, with the player also coming in for criticism from AC Milan.

"A goal can change things, but if he is to continue here, he needs to take on responsibility", Leonardo said, according to the Mirror. While the 31-year-old has been a key figure for the Rossoneri this season, he is believed to have had his head turned by the interest from Chelsea, who are in need of a top class striker.

The report states that negotiations are now underway and Juventus want Chelsea to take over Milan's loan agreement with the obligation to buy the striker for €36 million (R576 million).
