The Wizards have traded forward Otto Porter Jr.to the Bulls.

Parker was not playing much in Chicago and will likely not have his $20M team option for next season picked up in Washington. Porter is under contract for two more seasons, $27.3M and a $28.5M player option in 2020-21.

And after Wall's latest injury, NBC insider Tom Haberstroh reported the Wizards plan to "stay the course" in chasing the postseason. He is averaging 14.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 26.7 minutes per game this season and is shooting.474 from the field, .325 from three-point range and.731 from the free-throw line.

The Chicago Bulls will be relying a lot on the scoring output from Markkanen the rest of this season alongside Zach LaVine.

Parker, soon to be 24 in March, is a 6-8 power forward in his fifth season in the National Basketball Association out of Duke and on his third team in less than a year. He's tallying career highs in points (14.1) and rebounds (7.3) per game in 2018-19.

It sounded as though the Wizards were previously content to keep Porter. Others told the site that Wall would have been pleased if Porter was moved earlier in the season, when the team started 2-9. Though it hasn't been almost as adamant about holding onto Otto Porter, trade talks around the sixth-year forward haven't picked up much steam, according to sources.

The Wizards have agreed to send the 25-year-old forward to the Bulls, according to a report from The Athletic, which cites unidentified league sources.
