Fluffy The Cat Redeems Another Life After Being Frozen Solid In Snow

An "essentially frozen and unresponsive" cat found buried under a mountain of snow in Montana has been saved.

Fluffy - who is an outdoor cat - was found by her humans last Thursday, cacked in snow and ice, cold and unresponsive.

The animal clinic posted before and after pictures of Fluffy's unexpected recovery with this final sentence: "Fluffy is incredible!"

Fluffy was immediately rushed to the Animal Clinic of Kalispell, where staff sprung into action.

The animal clinic, owned by Dr. Jevon Clark, told WPEC fluffy is now recovering at home, inside where it's warm. China Corum, D.V.M., used a variety of methods to defrost Fluffy.

It took seven hours, but eventually, doctors were able to bring her body temperature back to normal.

"Fluffy is unbelievable", the post said.

Clark says Fluffy has always lived outdoors.

Vets tried reviving Fluffy using warm water, as well as lots of blow dryers and towels.

Because the owners weren't home at the time, they aren't positive how Fluffy got stuck in the snow. They then used specialized heating pads and heated cages, which helped her to regain consciousness.

The very lucky cat is now back home.

Extreme cold weather is not only unsafe for people but for animals as well.

Fluffy's owners plan to try to keep her inside for now. "I've been in practice for nearly 24 years and she was actually caked in ice, like those ice balls were caked on her all the way around her 360 degrees all the way around her", Clark said.
